The AAR and APDR are pleased to announce the AAR/APDR Radiology Career Advancement Lectureship Program (RCALP).

What is RCALP?

Participants give an invited lectureship at one of over 10 participating institutions in the U.S and receive feedback on teaching from a mentor. All presentations will be given virtually, and there is no monetary remuneration or honorarium.

Who is Eligible?

The program is open only to AAR and APDR members who are either:

  • early-career faculty (within five years of completion of training), or
  • mid-career faculty (> 5 years after training and academic rank no more than Associate Professor)

Why Participate?

Participation in this program is an excellent opportunity to advance academic career goals, especially as an early or mid-career faculty member. It also provides an opportunity to further expand your network. The topics requested from the participating institutions are broad, including all areas of clinical radiology as well as a range of non-clinical topics, such as wellness, public health, healthcare disparities, hospital management, and quality and safety.

Application Process

Applications for the 2023-2024 RCALP Program are open. We invite active members of the AAR and APDR to apply for the program. The application deadline is May 5, 2023 at noon ET.

If you would be interested in participating as a host institution for the RCALP program, apply here.
